Philadelphia is set to welcome a new culinary destination, Miss Saigon (Center City, 1316 Walnut), anticipated to open its doors in late November or early December. This establishment promises to provide a unique dining experience, featuring authentic Vietnamese street food in a dynamic setting.

The venture is led by seasoned restaurateurs Kenny Poon and Dave Taing, alongside partners Chef Tran, Chuong Nguyen, and Kevin Kaing. Chef Tran, previously operating the Tommy Rolls food truck in Virginia, aspires to create a comprehensive dining experience focusing on small plates of genuine Vietnamese street fare. Chuong Nguyen, with extensive experience in the restaurant industry in the D.C. Metro area, will take on the role of General Manager and will also oversee the cocktail program.

Designed by Kaing, Miss Saigon will offer seating for 88 guests in a space adorned with pop art, featuring works by artists Fre-Wil and Will Morales. The venue spans two levels and includes three full bars, a private karaoke room, a stage area that can be removed, and a marquee soon to be added to the exterior.

Miss Saigon’s offerings extend beyond food, with an array of entertainment options including a state-of-the-art karaoke room and weekend DJs. Embracing its location in the Gayborhood, the restaurant plans to feature live drag shows and a vibrant cocktail program inspired by the Pride Flag.

The restaurant will be open from Monday to Tuesday between 11:30 am and 10:00 pm, and from Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 am until 2:00 am.
