Beloved Boston Brewery to close after 7 years of business

Reports earlier in the fall raised uncertainties about the status of a brewery located just north of Boston. Now, it has been confirmed that the brewery is indeed closing down.

Information from a post within the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group indicates that Bone Up Brewing Co. in Everett is ceasing operations. A statement from the brewery on their Instagram page, located on Norman Street, confirmed the closure.

Here they wrote: ‘This sucks. Sorry Jared and Liz. We will be by with the family one last time before you are done. This is the scary reality for those who rent our spaces. Your life’s passion hangs on the whims of another. Where ever you end up or whatever you do, I know it will be awesome. Cause you’re awesome.’

The announcement from the brewery indicated that, currently, there are no plans to reopen in a different location. However, the possibility of a future venture in a new spot hasn’t been completely ruled out. If there were to be a future for Bone Up, it might look more like starting afresh in a new place rather than simply moving to a different location. This idea, as noted in their post, is still hypothetical at this stage.

Bone Up Brewing Co. initially opened its taproom in the summer of 2016 and is situated at 38 Norman St, Everett, MA 02149.
