Nonnas 1977 has been in Astoria for years and has a stellar reputation. In a new sighting, a recent image circulated online that showed it is soon to open in a new part of Astoria. Here, its windows were covered and a hand-written note was left on the window which said: ‘Pick-up orders’ with an accompanied phone number.

According to one internet sleuth on Reddit, it may be on the move again to a new location. At this point in time, it is not known whether the current Nonnas location will remain. In short, this could either be a standalone new spot, or they could be moving the entire operation to this new venue.

Unfortunately, as Nonnas social media presence is notoriously quiet, no one knows at this point in time. Writing on Reddit, they said: ‘Haven’t seen this on the sub yet. Appears they are moving into the old Fresh Start location on 23rd. Maybe a decent location this time.’ As seen, the Fresh Start logo is still there, while a temporary Nonnas banner is also at the bottom of the window.

Nonnas is known for serving some of the best pizzas in Astoria, as well as offering other Italian classics such as pasta, and carbonara. Because of this, Italian lovers in the area will certainly see this as good news.
