Somewhat bizarrely, Baltimore’s Never on Sunday has now announced that it will be open on Sundays. This was seen by a large banner that was placed outside the restaurant. Here, it read: ‘Now open on Sundays!’

All irony aside, the reason for this is probably to drum up more business. Typically, Sunday is one of the best days of the week for restaurants. So, despite this not being a thing for years, Never On Sunday has since folded. However, it looks as though its name isn’t changing anytime soon and it may be embracing the irony.

This change comes after decades of tradition and this was first mentioned on Reddit. Here, an eagle-eyed Baltimore resident snapped the photo which showed the change in policy.

This move was also noted on their website. Here, it said: ‘Never on Sunday has proudly served Mt. Vernon for over 60 years – But never on Sundays…until now! Starting this fall, Never On Sunday will begin opening on Sundays!’

Known for its delicious Greek cuisine, including classics like gyros, tzatziki, and calamari, as well as some unique dishes like pizza fries. The restaurant is located in the heart of Baltimore’s N Charles Street and is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
