New Sports Bar to open in Astoria
A new Sports Bar and Restaurant is gearing up to open in Astoria. While there is currently no set date for its completion and opening, images from its social media page have shown that the exterior of the venue is nearly finished. However, if you look inside, it looks as though the rest of the establishment still needs work. Based on this, you would assume that the venue would open at some point next year. However, this is only speculation at this point.
The new venue is appropriately named Parlay and promises to serve food as well as show sports games. Arguably, this could do well as Astoria doesn’t have many venues of a similar nature. Writing on social media, Parlay said: ‘Something special is coming to Astoria. We’re almost ready @parlay_astoria Sports Bar & Restaurant. Good vibes, great food, awesome people.’
Parlay will be located at 36-08 30th Ave which is the previous location of Antika Pizzeria before it closed down. This location is a hotbed for restaurants and similar venues and is neighbored by Pink Nori and Mad For Chicken. Interestingly, this comes just months after Murphy’s opened in the area, so it looks as though Parlay is hedging its bets on being the best Sports Bar in town.
