Vietnamese Restaurant permanently closes less than 4 months after opening

Lemongrass opened in mid August of this year, and now under four months later it has permanently closed. When this Vietnamese establishment first opened, it promised summer rolls, sandwiches, rice plates, noodle soup, bubble tea, and a variety of other dishes. However, its reviews were never great and because of this, it may have struggled when going against more established Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

Not only this but Lemongrass was also located on Washington Street which has been notorious for failing restaurants in recent years. Sadly, they couldn’t buck this trend. Lastly, despite opening in 2023, Lemongrass bizarelly had no social media presence which won’t have helped either. Overall, this means that Lemongrass must have been one of the most short-lived restaurants in the history of the city.

Because of this last factor, Hoboken residents are still in the dark regarding its closure. Despite being shuttered for a while now, there has been no official statement. Similarly, their website has no mention of closing either and looks to be open as usual. Sadly, this is not the case.

At this moment in time, it is not known what will replace the venue. However, if it’s anything like its predecessors then it will need divine intervention to succeed.
