New Restaurant to open in Long Beach – But it could be next year

November 7, 2023 by No Comments

The vacant spot at the north end of Belmont Shore, once home to Archibald’s, is set to come alive once more with the arrival of The Win~Dow, a boutique burger spot from Venice. The opening, however, might be pushed to next year.

Owned by American Gonzo Food Corp, The Win~Dow already serves customers in Silver Lake and at its initial Venice location, which debuted in 2019. Since then, the restaurant has gone from strength to strength. The natural result of this seems to lead to the opening of a new restaurant.

While an exact date for the Long Beach opening has not been announced, the company has taken over the premises at 4600 E. Second St., as indicated by a sign on the property. Additionally, the brand anticipates launching another outlet later this year or in early 2024 at San Pedro’s forthcoming West Harbor Waterfront development.

Archibald’s, which offered a mix of Mexican, Greek, American, and other fast-food varieties, was a longstanding establishment in that location until its closure in 2021. It was notable for being the only place in Belmont Shore that remained open until 3 a.m. on weekends, although it was known for being on the pricier side.

The Win~Dow originated as a more streamlined and wallet-friendly offshoot of the food group’s American Beauty steakhouse on Rose Avenue.
