New Mini Golf venue to open in Sugar Land – But it won’t be until next year
Sugar Land Town Square is set to welcome a new addition to its entertainment offerings with the introduction of Puttshack. This innovative mini-golf experience, developed by the minds behind TopGolf, will be taking over a location at 2171 Texas Drive, Sugar Land.
This expansion follows the successful launch of another Puttshack site in downtown Houston that opened its doors in April. Because of this, it looks like Texas has gone a little bit mad for golf in recent times.
Details regarding the opening date were not disclosed as of the latest reports, but records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate plans for an extensive $8 million refurbishment. The renovation will transform a 22,367-square-foot area, which includes the construction of an outdoor patio and the installation of a kitchen for food and beverage services.
Puttshack Golf is an indoor golf entertainment venue that combines the fun of mini golf with high-tech gaming and a cool, modern atmosphere. They have locations in several cities, and typically there’s a bar and restaurant on-site, so you can grab a drink or some food while playing.
The completion of the construction is anticipated by September 2024, as per the TDLR documents. Unfortunately for Puttshack fans, this means that its completion won’t be done until deep into next year.
