Andy Beshear blasted over Kentucky education stance
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear was recently criticized for his comments regarding education in the state. This took place on his Twitter page, where Beshear said: ‘Kentucky’s students are going to lead us to a brighter future, and I will be there cheering them on and supporting them every step of the way.’ As voting day is coming, this was also accompanied by a photo op as Beshear visited a local school. Naturally, this ruffled a few feathers and gained quite a few replies. Here, some of these replies blasted Beshear and accused him of being a hypocrite. Here, one user replied, “They may as well lead themselves into a brighter future, you’re failing them. You put a boy in her bathroom. Daniel Cameron for Governor,” which was based on Beshear’s transgender stance in schools. With many Republicans in particular, this has not been well received.
Similarly, another user quipped: “What are they actually learning?? What are they really being taught in the schools? Hate, racism?”
Although some of these replies may border on hyperbole, they also show that some Kentuckians are sick of Beshear. Based on this, the upcoming elections will be interesting and will either prove these people are a vocal minority or whether they actually represent the majority of the state. As a result of these people, Beshear’s political career hangs in the balance.
