Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs was recently criticized after boasting about the Southline Transmission project. Here, she took to Twitter to write: ‘The Southline Transmission project will create new jobs, expand our energy grid, invest in rural communities and I’m proud to have secured $13 million to help bring more projects like these to Arizona.’ This was in relation to a new energy deal for the state.

Despite her initial positivity, a lot of Arizonans disagreed with her. In fact, many weren’t very pleased with her perceived optimism. This was noted in the replies section, where they vocally challenged her statement.

Here, one user gave a rather passionate response, and replied: “You’re joking right? AZ has one of the highest utilities in the nation and the fees that are charged should be illegal – why don’t you work on that one? 70 yr old citizens are having to go back to work to pay their utilities. Shame on you!”

Similarly, another used added: “Delusional, desperate Katie, lying and trying to stay relevant… It’s Hilarious! Katie is a clone of Janet Napolitano who always took credit for anything good that happened in Arizona. Like Janet, when a crisis arises, Katie will hide until someone else fixes it, then step up and take credit for fixing it in true Marxist fashion.”

There were many more similar comments which shows the growing discontent with Arizona’s governor.
