Orange County Target locks up underwear for security reasons

An Orange County Target was recently highlighted for locking away underwear in a large security case. As seen, this see-through case had a red padlock on and had an array of men’s underwear inside. This included Goodfellow boxer briefs and vests priced at $16.99. Despite not being particularly expensive, this also highlights the level of theft and paranoia that this particular Target store is up against.

This was first highlighted on Reddit where the thread gained over 600 comments. Here, users from other states including Oregon and New York also confirmed that similar policies had been found in other states.

In fact, it looks as though this is fairly normal across many different stores too, and isn’t just exclusive to Target. It is believed that this particular store was based in Santa Ana. Here, one user commented: “I see them in an individual hard plastic case with the alarm on it. I have not seen the whole rack like that though. Crazy stuff.” On another note, it also shows how desperate some people may be to resort to stealing underwear.

Target is a major American retailer that offers a wide variety of products, including clothing, home decor, electronics, toys, groceries, and more. The stores are known for their clean, modern design, their affordable prices, and their wide selection of products.
