In 2019, the Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI) selected a location on Niagara Street for an additional West Side Bazaar venue. Since then, the organization faced challenges, including a worldwide pandemic and a severe fire at the original West Side Bazaar.

Now, the new West Side Bazaar has finally opened its doors. Despite the hurdles of the past four years, the essence and purpose of the new venue remain unchanged.

Though modest in its beginnings, the new West Side Bazaar stands out as one of the city’s most vibrant attractions. Spanning over 16,000 square feet, it showcases a diverse blend of culinary and retail experiences. Among the new dining establishments are: Bamboo Ridge (Vietnamese) Egyptian Bites (Egyptian) Malika & Co. (African) Millions Tin Sushi (Japanese) Orso Nero Pizza (Italian) Phyu Thein (Malaysian) Ramree (Burmese) Williams Kitchen (Korean).

Notably, the bazaar is Buffalo’s exclusive destination for both Malaysian and, surprisingly, Korean cuisines, making these eateries especially valuable additions to the local gastronomic landscape.

Beyond restaurants, the bazaar features retail and office areas, a commissary kitchen for culinary education, cooking workshops, and pop-up events. It also boasts spaces designed for large gatherings, workforce training, a tech center, educational rooms, a meeting space, and an economic development office.

Operating hours (as of now, but may vary): Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with Sunday and Monday being closed.
