This week, Krispy Kreme opened a new location in Amazon Fresh which is situated at 3425 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena. This isn’t the first Pasadena location for the donut giant however, it is believed to be the first inside an Amazon Fresh store.

Amazon Fresh has been open for just over a year now and is effectively Amazon’s answer to Whole Foods, hence the name. Now, it has a small Krispy Kreme location within the store. As seen below, the new arrival already had a few customers.

However, this Krispy Kreme store isn’t like many of the others. As seen, this doesn’t have the typical conveyor belt or ‘hot fresh sign’. This is because the donuts are delivered every morning. While this may be a small difference, it may also be off-putting for some who want the freshest donuts possible. In fairness, Krispy Kreme isn’t cheap either.

Krispy Kreme is a donut chain that has been around since 1937. Founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the company started as a small shop that sold donuts for just 5 cents each. Fast forward a few decades, and now you can find Krispy Kreme donuts in over 35 countries worldwide with over 370 locations in the USA. They’re known for their iconic glazed donuts and 12-donut box deals.
