Beloved donut store destroyed in overnight break-in

On Thursday morning, the proprietors of June’s Donuts & Cafe were confronted with a situation that every business owner dreads. Their establishment was subjected to vandalism during the night. This included a shattered glass door, rifled drawers and cash register, and damaged equipment.

The shop’s owner announced that they would remain closed throughout Thursday to evaluate the extent of the damage. However, they are optimistic about reopening on Friday. The cafe is situated at 1101 S Detroit Ave in the downtown area. Anyone with information about the culprits is urged to reach out to the Tulsa police or Tulsa Crime Stoppers at (918) 585-5209.

Writing on Instagram, Jane’s said: ‘Unfortunately, this morning as we arrived to prepare the dough, we found that June’s had been broken into, with our door completely shattered open. Inside, the place had been ransacked, with many items and equipment left irreparable or severely damaged.’ However, they also praised the local community for its support. Responding to this, a number of Tulsans paid their respects and gave their sympathy in the comments section.

A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to assist the family-run business in its recovery efforts. Its goal is $5,000. Although it looks like Jane’s will be back in the near future, this is still a horrible crime to go through, both financially and mentally.
