Downtown Planet Fitness recently announced that it will be closed for at least 90 days. This is due to improvements and potentially new equipment. Nonetheless, 90 days is still a long time, especially if you’re local and dependent on this particular spot for fitness.

News of this temporary closure first broke online when someone photographed the sign on the door. The closure began on November 1st and claimed that during the refurb, customers to use their Greenfield, St Francis, East Capitol, and other nearby locations in the city.

It should also be noted that this delay could expand beyond 90 days. This means that at the earliest, this could take until early February to re-open. Usually, temporary closures only last a few weeks as most. This means that it may not just be a few new treadmills and the entire venue may have a complete makeover. Because of this, it’s plausible that this location could also lose members due to its long-term absence.
