Car comes chillingly close to running down person in Spider-man costume in pitch black
Yesterday, a video was uploaded to social media which showed an incredibly close shave. Here, a car was driving along Capital Blvd in Raleigh in the far right lane. This strip of road notoriously narrows before merging. While on this road, the car driver’s dash cam picks up a very faint image of someone wearing a Spiderman costume in their lane.
Thankfully, the car just about managed to swerve away to avoid hitting the fancy-dress-wearing civilian. To make matters worse, not only were they in the road but they also wore a very dull outfit with no lighting. Had this driver been less sharp then it’s fair to assume that they could have hit and killed the pedestrian.
The footage was originally uploaded to Reddit, where the shocked driver gave their take on the incident. Here, they wrote: ‘Scared the damn out of me. Anyone who’s driven on this part of Capital Blvd, in this lane, knows that it gets pretty narrow right here. He was also standing in the worst spot around a corner with limited visibility and in the dark.’
Not only this but the car could have easily crashed into a car in the parallel lane. This is because they had to swerve quickly to avoid the Spiderman. Thankfully, nothing came of this but on another day, it could have easily been a tragedy.
