Beloved Greensboro Toy store re-opens after forced closure

Back in September, a popular Greensboro toy store was forced out of its previous location. Despite being located at the Friendly Center for years, they were abruptly moved on. Sometimes when this happens, retailers can struggle to find a new location and this search can take months to sort out. This often involves finding a suitable location, negotiating rent, and then refurbishing the store.

Thankfully for fans of Funko Pops and other toys, Nerdbombers has found a new home. Overall, this was a very quick turnaround and Nerdbombers can now be found at the Brassfield Shopping Center at 3715 Battleground Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410.

The announcement was first made on their Instagram page where they wrote: ‘We have moved! Come say hi, tons of new stuff!’ This was followed by a photo showing copious amounts of new Gundam toys.

Sometimes, when a store temporarily closes, this can turn into a permanent closure so Greensboro’s local nerd community will be happy with this news.

Originally, Nerdbombers were evicted from their previous location to make space for the expansion of Birkenstock, a sandal store that was based in the same venue. However, sometimes in life negatives can quickly be turned into positives. Now, Nerdbomber’s new store is bigger than their previous location and can be found next to Trader Joe’s.
