A restaurant in Houston has just been lambasted for its shoddy offerings. The restaurant in question is the Hard Rock Cafe in Houston Airport, and an image of its pizza was recently shared across social media. Unfortunately, this image wasn’t shared for positive reasons either.

The story first broke on Reddit, where the customer who purchased the pizza wrote: ‘Nasty place. $17 margarita flatbread pictured above.’ This led to a number of people sharing their experiences and advice when it came to eating there, with hundreds chiming in with their opinions. If nothing else, the image below tells you all you need to know. This doesn’t look particularly appetizing, to say the least.

Despite the outrage, one user gave a very interesting response which may explain why the pizza wasn’t great, and it also takes some of the blame from the Hard Rock Cafe. Here, they replied: “Airport restaurants are all operated by airport catering companies, not the regular corporate owners or franchisees. This is why they don’t typically accept app orders or various promotions. It also means that they don’t fall under as strict quality control as regular restaurants.”

Unfortunately, airports are infamous for offering highly-priced food with low-quality standards. Sadly, it looks as though this pizza falls into the same category. Regardless, it looks as though this particular establishment has enjoyed commercial success over the years which somewhat proves this theory.
