Recently, an image went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. Here, a bunch of trash had callously been dumped in a car park in Milpitas. This included various cans, boxes, and a Chick-fil-A bag. In fact, behind the tree, you can even see a large trash bag which indicates that someone really dumped a lot of junk in this spot.

This was first shown by a Reddit user who eventually cleaned up the site. This took them 26 bags in total which highlights just how bad it was. Responding to this incident, the user was praised by many others, with one adding: “Seems like in a better society, people would clean up after themselves rather than relying on extraordinarily good people like yourself.”

Perhaps the most infuriating part of this image is that this could have been disposed of in a normal way, by using trash cans. This highlights that some people just don’t care. In fairness, as far as cities go, Milpitas isn’t usually known for high levels of trash, so hopefully, this is a one-off incident.

Dumping trash is bad as it creates a nasty and unhealthy environment, attracting pests, rodents, and disease-carrying insects. It also contributes to air and water pollution, which can lead to respiratory problems and other health issues. Additionally, it ruins the natural beauty of our environment and can have a negative impact on wildlife and ecosystems. Furthermore, it also costs money for the authorities to clean it up.
