Last night, over 10 cars had their windows smashed while parked at their residence. This took place at Forest ln and Abrams and there was plenty of photo evidence to show what had happened. Here, these cars had been burglarized and scoured for valuables. It is believed that this took place outside of an apartment complex that housed the various cars. At this point in time, there is little information surrounding the crime but an investigation is ongoing.

News of the crime was reported on Reddit by a resident of the area. Here, they showed images of all the cars affected by the thief and claimed that it was over 10 cars had their windows smashed.

Compared to other cities and states, Dallas isn’t really known for its car crimes, nonetheless, this is still a concern and isn’t a nice experience if you’re a victim. This particular crime has swept the nation recently and is commonly referred to as ‘bipping‘ which is when a criminal tries to quickly break into a car to steal goods.

Bipping is a term that originated on the West Coast to describe a specific method of auto burglary. Basically, it’s when a thief takes a small piece of porcelain and uses it to smash a car window in a quick and quiet manner, allowing them to grab whatever valuables are inside the car without making much noise. It’s a sneaky and nefarious tactic, and unfortunately, it’s become quite common in certain parts of the US.
