Creepy video shows tweaker calmly checking locked doors during late night robbery attempt
Yesterday, a rather creepy incident happened in Pasadena. Shortly after 3:30 AM, a Nest video camera caught a tweaker casually strolling up to someone’s porch and calmly trying to open their door. When this failed, they then turned to the neighbor’s door before leaving. Thankfully, both doors were locked and the would-be thief decided to leave it at that.
The Nest footage was then uploaded to Reddit where the user gave more context and information on the incident.
Here, they wrote: ‘Woke up to a faint sound last night and then heard my Nest notification on my phone so I decided to look at my phone and saw this a few minutes after it happened at 3:37 AM. I’ve never posted a video on Reddit before so I hope you can hear the audio.
Our duplex has an LA address but 20ft across the street is South Pas and across Huntington Drive is Alhambra. I’m posting to this sub because the LA subs don’t allow videos so I hope this is okay. It was an unsettling and sad situation.’
With this in mind, it may be Halloween season but this isn’t the sort of trick or treat guest you’d want in the middle of the night. This serves as a timely reminder to keep your doors locked and thankfully this incident ended without trick or treat for all parties involved.
