It’s not every day that you bump into an NFL legend while out and about. However, over the weekend customers in Costo in Hayward may have met an NFL legend. Here, Jerry Rice visited the Bay Area, and this wasn’t a fluke either. Rice was visiting the West Coast for a reason, and this was to promote his energy drink brand.

Jerry Rice’s brand is called G.O.A.T. Fuel, which stands for Greatest of All Time Fuel. The brand focuses on health-forward products and a supposed G.O.A.T. mindset – which basically means striving to be the best you can be. While in Costco, Rice stopped to sign autographs and take photos with his many fans. Unsurprisingly, there was a big turnout with many lining up to meet him.

For those wondering, Jerry Rice is widely considered one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. He played for 20 seasons, mostly with the San Francisco 49ers, and was known for his incredible speed, agility, and durability. He holds numerous NFL records, including most career receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. He was a three-time Super Bowl champion, a 13-time Pro Bowl selection, and was named NFL Most Valuable Player in 1987. His induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010 was pretty much a no-brainer. Because of this, he is widely regarded as a true NFL legend.
