Across The Street Vintage Store permanently closes down
One of Salem, OR’s best vintage clothes shops closed down today after a long-running sale took place during its final weeks to get rid of excess stock. A few weeks back, Across The Street made the announcement that they were closing on Instagram, where they wrote: ‘With a heavy heart we announce the closure of “Across The Street Vintage and Resale.”We invite you to visit us one last time to bid farewell and take advantage of significant discounts as a token of our appreciation for your support over the years. We are immensely grateful for your patronage and look forward to seeing you for a final goodbye.’
Today was its final day and from tomorrow onwards it will be permanently closed. At this moment in time, it is not known what will replace the establishment. Interestingly, Across The Street did not go into further detail about why they decided to close down. This could have been due to personal or financial reasons but it was never disclosed.
Over the years, this store gained a positive reputation within Salem for providing people with used, vintage clothing brands alongside other tickets and memorabilia. Based on its niche status, it will be difficult to replace this particular shop anytime soon.
