‘UFO Fireballs’ seen in San Diego skies – However, there is a simple explanation
Last night, just before 7 PM, numerous San Diego residents filmed footage showing five golden orbs in the skies. This was first met by a large bang, before the orbs separated and could be observed over Coronado and other areas. Naturally, this got people wondering about its origins.
Here, many claimed that they looked like fireballs, whereas others claimed it could be aliens or even some kind of extravagant fireworks display. It turns out that all of these assumptions are incorrect, and there’s actually a very simple explanation as to what happened. As seen, the bizarre sight can be seen below.
In fairness, this isn’t your typical sight and would certainly get the mind wondering. It turns out that this was actually a stunt performed by Navy Leapfrogs who honored the senior football players, trainers, and cheerleaders during senior night. This was documented on Facebook and was shown on video where the Navy Leapfrogs were seen landing on the football pitch.
The timing of this event coincides with the eyewitness reports, while their yellow parachutes also explain the perceived orbs in the distance. This should serve as a timely reminder not to jump to conclusions too soon and that sometimes in life, things can have a very mundane explanation. As well, the Leapfrogs clearly achieved their goal of making a spectacle, albeit to a different audience.
