Yesterday, a New Orleans resident took to social media to voice their dissatisfaction at the price of a singular biscuit from Popeyes. This was featured on the Uber Eats app and had one biscuit priced at $7.00. Interestingly, the app also showed the price of a Cinnamon Apple Pie which was priced at a mere $2.29 which seems like a bargain in comparison.

Here, they wrote: ‘And I don’t know where else to complain. It’s been this way for months and I just keep hoping the next time I order that someone’s caught the mistake. Nope. 7 bucks for a single biscuit.’ which was accompanied by a screenshot of the food as proof. It isn’t known what Popeyes branch this was priced at but it was first mentioned on Reddit. Furthermore, it isn’t known whether this was a mistake either.

However, one user admitted that they may be priced by the deal and wrote: “There have been low moments where I’d do this.” Clearly, this strategy may not have been as shocking as it first seems. Having said this, the vast majority of the thread criticized the pricing and mostly blamed the delivery apps.

It looks like in New Orleans at least, the price of convenient fast food is high for now, and it may not be worth it.
