Board Bard Games is set to open its doors on Friday at 7960 SE Stark Street, Portland, offering a cozy and inviting space for gamers of all levels to geek out over board games, card games, and miniatures. Not only will they have a game library with over 100 titles, but you can also rent games or buy them outright. Oh, and if you’re looking for a little privacy, they’ve got a secluded game room that you can reserve for some serious tabletop throwdown.

The shop will also be selling classic games like Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Warhammer – so you can stock up on all your nerdy needs in one fell swoop. This takes place in a 2,200 square foot store which includes plenty of gameplay tables.

The owners understand that gamers come in all ages and skill levels, so they’ve created a space that welcomes everyone, including kids. They’ve also got snacks and drinks available onsite, and you can even bring in your own food from nearby restaurants. For longer games, the shop has got bathrooms for customers. The name of the shop – Board Bard Games – is a nod to the in-store experience they’re creating. And to celebrate their grand opening, they’re offering special deals for Halloween weekend.

Beginning on the 27th, their opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sundays, are from 12 a.m. to 7 p.m. Customers can also visit from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The shop is not open on Tuesdays.
