Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs was recently in Tucson where a battery factory was being built. According to the governor, this facility would lead to 1,000 new jobs in Arizona. Here, she shoveled dirt while smiling for a photo op. This was clearly a proud moment for Hobbs, who wrote: ‘I was in Tucson to mark the groundbreaking of the American Battery Factory’s latest manufacturing facility. Their 2 million-square-foot factory and global headquarters will create 1,000 new jobs right here in Arizona. We’re proud they have made our state their home,’ alongside the photo.

Although Hobbs was optimistic, not everyone agreed with her sentiments. The image attracted nearly 100 comments, with many of them critical towards to Arizona governor.

This prompted a reply from a constituent named TJ Peruch who wrote: “Still trying to sell yourself as a productive individual, I see. We all know this is the effort and work that Doug Ducey did. You really are the worst governor in Arizona history.”

One user named Scott also had this to say: “Oh excellent. Another battery plant dependent on the labor of brown children in foreign countries giving their lives digging in the lithium mines so American elites can virtue signal driving their EVs — a whole scam in itself. But I can see why you’d support it, guvvie.”

It should be noted that some of the comments were complimentary toward Hobbs. Nonetheless, this highlights the growing discontent from the people of Arizona who aren’t particularly pleased with their governor.
