This is because the location is currently available to buy on LoopNet which means that it may soon be changing hands. Of course, it may not sell at all, or the new owner could potentially carry it on. Nonetheless, these two outcomes seem unlikely.

Located at 66-1425 Kaukonahua Rd, Waialua, this mini-mart has gained a great reputation over the years and also serves Korean food such as fried chicken and bibimbap rolls. However, it may not be around for much longer. Because of this, locals may understandably be a little upset as the store has been a convenient shop for many of the local community.

The listing doesn’t mention why the owner is selling but it does mention that it’s available now and that it has 1,731 sqft of retail space. Built in 1950, it also comes with a long-term lease which would be ideal for anyone who wanted to take over.

It should be noted that this is not the building that is up for sale, but merely the business. As mentioned previously though, this does not mean that a buyer couldn’t come in and buy out the lease with the intention of changing it into a completely different retail space, provided the landlord was ok with this.
