New Roleplaying pub to open this weekend on SE Hawthorne
Portland’s first roleplaying and brewery joint TPK Brewing is set to open on the SE Hawthorne District this weekend on October 28 (Saturday). This queer, woman-of-color-owned tavern is dedicated to the holy trinity of craft beer, tabletop roleplaying games, and original storytelling. The name ‘TPK’ stands for ‘total party kill,’ a term that strikes fear in the hearts of gamers everywhere. But don’t worry – this tavern is all about fostering community and creating a welcoming space for TTRPG fans of all levels.
With a rotating menu of house-made beers and games, and the option to hire a professional gamemaster, TPK is the ultimate destination for a nerdy night out.
Not only will they have a rotating selection of beer and TTRPGs, but they’re also creating their own unique storylines and content to take the gaming experience based on a new immersive storytelling experience. They’re also offering professional gamemasters for hire, so you can get the full experience without having to worry about running the game yourself. Plus, they’re partnering with Hapa Barkada to bring some delicious grub to the table.
This new venture is located at 5051 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215, and will definitely add something a bit different to the Portland brewery scene. Its opening hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Sunday at 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, and will be closed on Tuesdays.
