Yesterday evening, Central Los Angeles was greeted with a stunning cloud formation. Thankfully, this was caught on camera as these clouds literally lit up the skies. As seen, the main beauty of these clouds was their striking orange color

which clashed perfectly with the surrounding purple clouds. In fact, the image almost looked fake or from some kind of alien planet. Below this stunning formation, you can see the central business district in the distant background.

This image was originally uploaded to Reddit and was captioned: ‘I’m no photographer but tonight’s sunset is gorgeous!’ Responding to the image, various LA residents also complimented their city’s sunsets. In fairness, LA has been known for its sunsets and is probably one of the best cities in the USA when it comes to striking imagery.

Orange clouds are caused by a variety of factors, but one of the most common causes is the presence of small particles or aerosols in the atmosphere that scatter sunlight in a way that makes the sky appear orange. These particles can come from things like dust, smoke, pollution, or even volcanic eruptions. In some cases, the particles can be so dense that they completely obscure the sun and create a deep orange or even red hue in the sky. Other times, the effect is more subtle and may just give the sky a warm, rosy glow.
