In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, Archer’s BBQ has abruptly closed all of its locations in Knoxville, Tennessee, after more than a decade in business. The popular barbecue chain has left customers and employees alike baffled by the sudden closure, with no official statement from the company as of yet. Since the closure, the relevant social media pages have also suddenly disappeared as well.

Archer’s BBQ had been a mainstay in the Knoxville area since 2011 and was known for its smoky ribs and brisket. Since its inception, it had even expanded to six locations in the region, with its latest opening earlier in the year. The abrupt closure has left many wondering what could have led to this sudden end to a beloved local restaurant chain. Over the years, Archer’s BBQ earned a solid reputation among BBQ fans within Knoxville.

Typically, when a restaurant closes in this fashion, it means that the closure may have been financially motivated rather than due to personal choice. Interestingly, the company has not filed for bankruptcy according to the Eastern District of Tennessee Bankruptcy Court.

On a final note, it is not yet known what will replace these stores but you would expect them to be restaurants of a similar nature.
