Tony Evers blasted after scathing Republican claims
Today, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers got into hot water over comments aimed toward Republicans in the state. Here, Evers didn’t mince his words and blamed them for a number of problems. Specifically, he wrote: ‘Republicans have made it clear they are no closer to having a meaningful plan to address our workforce challenges or child care crisis. Wisconsinites cannot afford inaction. It’s time for Republicans to get serious about governing and solving problems.’
As you may guessed, this created a number of replies, and certain Wisconsin constituents were quick to snap back at the governor. Some of the comments are listed below.
One user replied saying: “Once again. If this state wasn’t so damned expensive to live in, this wouldn’t be an issue. Instead Tony wants to make it even more expensive.”
Similarly, one user named Jason Szemborski wrote: “Wisconsinites cannot afford inaction (or specific action) that denies refunding tax surplus to the people who paid it instead of you thinking you know better how to spend it on “making child care businesses whole”. Why?”
In short, this shows a classic example of left vs. right with finger-pointing on both sides. To blame entire problems on a different party when you have problems of your own was always going to create backlash though.
