Omaha residents sign petition begging for Wafflehouse to come to the city
Despite having over 2000 locations across the USA, Wafflehouse has yet to venture to Omaha. In fact, it doesn’t even have a single store in the entirety of Nebraska. This is because the bulk of their restaurants are based in the Mid-West where it has a stranglehold on the region.
Because of this, a number of Omaha residents have recently pooled together to get Waffle House in the city. This has come forth in the form of a petition that if successful, will be sent to Waffle House to mull over. Of course, even if the petition gains enough signatures, it still doesn’t mean that Waffle House will care.
Part of the petition reads: “Omaha is home to more than 400 thousand people (source: U.S Census Bureau), all potential customers who could benefit from having a Waffle House nearby. Moreover, it’s worth noting that Omaha’s food scene has been growing rapidly over recent years, making it an ideal location for expansion.”
Over the years, Waffle House has carved out a reliable reputation as one of the US’s most-known fast food joints. Here, it offers waffles, coffee, eggs, bacon, and a variety of comfort foods that are available for breakfast and even late at night. Originally founded in 1955, it may be about time that Omaha gets its first restaurant but don’t bank on it.
