New Vegetarian Cafe opens in Sacramento
In downtown Sacramento, numerous coffee shops cater to the needs of those seeking a brief respite between their meetings. Immortal Cafe & Supply, however, aspires to be the ultimate destination for patrons before they immerse themselves in the natural world. Co-owner Eric Cockrell has announced that this “lifestyle cafe,” specializing in vegetarian offerings, has just made its debut at 1111 H St., situated on the ground floor of The Offices at Retro Lodge building.
In the interim, Immortal introduced its nature-inspired brand, plant-based selections, and artisanal coffee to the “Bodega Days” event at Cesar Chavez Plaza every Thursday, starting on May 5. They also organized occasional pop-up appearances throughout the city. The news of the opening was mentioned on their Instagram page.
Immortal’s concise, seasonal menu evolves throughout the day, featuring items like German potato salad or hoagies with miso-cured tofu, wild mushrooms, and pickled peppers. The menu also encompasses gluten-free choices and several vegan options, including an Impossible lasagna with tofu ricotta. Beyond culinary delights, the cafe will offer coffee equipment, filters, cookbooks, kitchen tools, and even bicycle repair kits.
