VeganBurg’s Haight Street location has announced its upcoming permanent closure. Tomorrow (October 22nd) will be its final day of operation. This was shown by the photo below which confirmed the closure. Here, the rather flowery statement thanked its customers and confirmed that the other locations would remain open.

The sign read: ‘Grand rising kind soul! It was with the highest appreciation and knowing that only the greatest achievements and master lessons are gained through temporary setbacks. We will be closing VeganBurg permanently on Sunday, October 22nd 2023. We have been honored to serve you for 9 amazing years and we look forward to serving you again in our other locations.’

Despite the announcement, it is not known why the restaurant was closing. However, you would assume that it was probably financially driven. The news was originally shared on Reddit where the photo was first uploaded. Here, San Francisco locals paid their respects to the restaurant which had a good reputation within the local vegan food scene.

At this moment in time, it is not known what will be replacing the venue. Interestingly, their website did claim that another location was in the works for Hesperia while they still operate in overseas locations. Nonetheless, this may not be relevant news for those living in San Francisco.
