This week, the much-adored Wienermobile, an impressive 27-foot-long vehicle, is set to make its way to the Boulder area. This iconic automobile is scheduled to appear at various local Kroger stores and events starting this Wednesday. Yesterday, it was sighted near the campus. Enthusiasts will have the chance to explore this renowned Wienermobile, providing opportunities for capturing Instagram-worthy photos, and they will also receive a wiener whistle as a cherished souvenir.

If you’re eager to track the Frankmobile and its whereabouts in Boulder, you can find its location here.

The Wienermobile originally made its debut in 1936 when Carl Mayer, the nephew of Oscar Mayer, the company’s founder, conceived the concept of a 13-foot metal hot dog on wheels to transport the brand’s spokesperson. In May of this year, the Wienermobile officially adopted the name Frankmobile in honor of the company’s transition to exclusively producing 100% beef franks. However, it has since changed back to its original moniker.

There are six vehicles that travel throughout the country all year round, and this week marks the very first visit of the colossal hot dog to Boulder. Oscar Mayer temporarily rebranded its iconic Wienermobile, the famous hot dog-shaped vehicle, in conjunction with the introduction of an updated recipe for their Beef Franks.
