It’s not every day that you spot acting royalty such as Tom Hanks in Houston. However, this is exactly what happened yesterday as shocked fans took photos of the star’s visit to Texas. Here, Hanks was seen outside of the Johnson Space Center, sporting an all-black outfit that complimented his svelte figure. This was completed with brown shoes, translucent sunglasses, and a fresh haircut. The image below shows that he was surrounded by security guards during his Houston outing.

The image was originally uploaded to Reddit which showed Hanks in good spirits as he waved to the public. This was captioned with: ‘Tom Hanks seen at the Johnson Space Center today’. So, what was Hanks doing in Houston? It turns out that it wasn’t a surprise visit and it was due to a cause very close to the actor’s heart.

The reason for his visit was due to an upcoming event at London’s Lightroom in December that will showcase a cinematic experience, co-authored and voiced by Hanks. The immersive production, entitled ‘The Moonwalkers,’ will take viewers on a journey through NASA’s historic Apollo Missions, with a particular focus on the iconic Apollo 11 mission of 1969, when humanity achieved the remarkable feat of landing on the moon for the very first time. With this said, it now makes complete sense that Tom Hanks was in town. Sadly, he has since left.
