A new dumpling shop has just opened in Oakland. This was confirmed by its website, as well as a photograph of its new sign being installed outside the premises. Known as Dumpling Hours, this is apparently the sister of Dumpling Home in San Francisco.

It also marks yet another dumpling restaurant in Oakland, as they seem to have grown significantly in numbers in recent times. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either, especially if you love dumplings. Dumpling Hours can be found at 3331 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland, CA 94610 which may be a familiar address to some. This is because it has taken over the spot previously vacated by Rolling Dunes which was a now-deserted crepe house.

The image below was originally uploaded by an eagle-eyed Oakland local on Reddit. Here, users discussed the new shop alongside their love of all things dumplings and dim sum. The opening hours of Dumpling Hours are Mon-Sun. 11:30 AM-2:30 PM. 5:30 PM-9:00 PM. This looks like the lunch menu will offer dim sum while the later menu will offer dumplings and a regular Chinese menu as well.

Interestingly, the restaurant has opted to have no social media presence which is a rarity in this day and age, so news of this opening may shock some. However, it is also the sequel to the Dumpling Hours in Walnut Creek, so it presumably has a similar menu.
