Yesterday, a car fanatic snapped a picture of a DeLorean DMC-12 that was ironically parked next to a Tesla Cybertruck. They uploaded this image to social media and captioned it with: ‘Car from the future and car from back to the future’ as the cars both looked very futuristic despite their age gap and also have a stainless steel body.

Despite their gap in age, both of these cars are similarly priced. Although the Cybertruck certainly costs more upfront, the running and repair costs of a DeLorean may end up costing a similar amount. This is because there were only 9000 ever made in the early 1980s and since then their numbers have dwindled. Not only this but actually buying a fully functioning one is an even harder task. According to this site, there are now only 6,500 in the wild, however, most of them are in the US.

The image was originally uploaded to Reddit which got users arguing over what car looked better. There is also a strong chance that these had the same owner due to being coincidentally very similar in style. Unfortunately for San Francisco car enthusiasts, the exact location of these cars was not disclosed so if you wanted to pay them a village then think again.
