New footage shows Accenture Tower climber’s POV – Where he argues with cops during his climb
Last week, a fearless free climber, Maison Deschamps, known as “Spiderman,” was observed ascending the 15th floor of the Accenture Tower. Astonished spectators within the 42-story, 600-foot building reached for their mobile devices to record this daring feat, all while Deschamps scaled the structure without any safety equipment. The climber came into view at approximately 10 A.M. local time.
After reaching the top of the tower, he was quickly arrested. This story initially went viral and was even picked up by news outlets overseas. While obviously very dangerous and irresponsible, it is also impressive from a physical and mental aspect.
Now, weeks later, new footage has emerged that shows Dechamps filming his climb from a point-of-view angle. It is believed that he stopped and had a conversation with Chigaco cops midway through his ascent. Here, they spoke from the inside of the building and could be heard arguing with him, with one saying: “No, you’re not good. You’re going to jail.” The new footage can be seen below. However, if you don’t like heights then you should give this one a miss.
Fortunately, Deschamps managed to complete the climb without getting injured. However, it is assumed that he has since been charged with criminality and will eventually be punished at some point. Since his interaction with the police, it is understood that Deschamps has been released. It is not known whether he will scale another building but this video highlights just how high (and dangerous) his recent escapade was.
