Ned Lamont criticized after Commissioner’s meeting
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont recently met up with a group of Commissioners to discuss his administration at a retreat. Here shared this moment on Twitter with a picture, combined with a caption that read: “Commissioners coming together at the annual retreat, strengthening the bonds that drive our administration’s success.”
Although this status was a little innocuous, it looks as though Lamont was very positive about the meeting and its significance. As is often the case with politics, not everyone viewed it this way and certain Twitter users were quick to criticize the governor.
This meeting prompted a response by one user named Aaron Bowman who wrote: “A bunch of overpaid state employees that do nothing but put money into their own pockets.” While Bowman didn’t specify exactly what he meant, it’s clear that he was less than impressed with Lamont.
Having said this, another user was more blunt with their response and simply wrote: “Success for your wife and the Saudis maybe.” This was in response to his wife’s dealings with a Saudi-backed investment firm which recently led to questions for Lamont and the aforementioned business relationship.
As is always the case with politics, criticism is never too far away. As for Ned Lamont, it looks like he has his fair share of critics too despite being Connecticuts Governor for the foreseeable future.
