One of the leading retailers specializing in home improvement is set to unveil its inaugural outlet store in the northwestern region of Houston later this month. Scheduled to launch next week in the Champions area by the Barnes and Nobles on 1960, the Lowe’s Outlet Store will feature substantial discounts of up to 75% on slightly flawed appliances, outdoor furniture, grills, and a variety of other merchandise.

The new establishment spans approximately 36,000 square feet, and store manager Tyler Strickland is bracing for a sizable turnout during the grand opening event on October 20. Anticipating a surge in customer traffic for the initial month, Strickland expressed plans to bring in additional staff from various Lowe’s locations in the greater Houston market to provide assistance.

Beyond the new Champions locale, the nearest Lowe’s Outlet Store to Houston currently resides in Irving, Texas. Strickland further noted that recently opened outlet stores in Alabama and Ohio witnessed substantial attendance on their opening days. Over the years, Lowe’s has maintained a steady presence in Houston meaning this won’t be its first in the city. Nonetheless, it will certainly be one of the biggest outlets in Texas.

Lowe’s was founded on March 25, 1946, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, USA, by Lucius Smith Lowe and Carl Buchan. It has since grown to become one of the largest home improvement retailers in the United States and around the world.
