Iconic Shreveport Burger Joint to close after 10 years of business
An established Shreveport hotspot revealed on Friday afternoon that it is set to cease its operations this coming Sunday, October 15. Twisted Root Burger Co. Shreveport shared this information in a Facebook post on October 13.
Over the last decade, Twisted Root has served over a million patrons, provided a platform for local musical talent, and actively supported various charitable causes by hosting fundraisers for educational institutions, religious organizations, and nonprofits.
Speaking on the closure, the owner said: “We are sad to announce that Twisted Root Shreveport is permanently closing. Our last day of business will be Sunday, October 15th. We have many words of thanks to offer the Shreveport community. Thank you to the hundreds of employees who have served well over a million customers in the last 10 years. Undoubtedly, this was a very popular burger joint in Shreveport and you don’t have over 1 million customers without having a bit about you. Because of this, the announcement to close has been a shocking one. Due to the nature of the closure statement, it also leaves more questions than answers regarding why the restaurant closed as well. At this point in time, it is not known what will replace Twisted Root.
