The former site of the Texas Roadhouse on Bethel Road is set to undergo a transformation, as it is soon to become home to Don Tequila Mexican Grill and Cantina Bar. This marks the fifth establishment of this local Mexican chain, with existing restaurants in Upper Arlington, Powell, Dublin, and north Columbus.

Although an official opening date has not been disclosed, Don Tequila has initiated a Facebook page for its upcoming location at 1540 Bethel Road. The owners of Don Tequila have yet to respond to inquiries about their plans, but they have promised to share more information in the coming weeks on their Facebook page.

Some of the delectable items featured on the menu include the pollo fundido, featuring grilled chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and a cheese sauce. Another highlight is the molcajete, a dish comprised of steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, onions, and cactus, all topped with a green sauce and cheese. Additionally, they offer flaming cheese fajitas.

Don Tequila is set to introduce a fresh culinary experience to the diverse array of dining options available at Bethel Center, alongside establishments such as New Indian Restaurant, Meshioku Ramen, KPot Korean BBR & Hot Pot, The Golden Delight Bakery, Kebab Hummus Grill, Lee’s Seafood Boil, Papa Giorgio’s pizza, and Coaches Bar & Grill.

The Texas Roadhouse location at this center ceased operations in June after being in business for two decades. The Ohio Department of Taxation suspended the vendor’s license for the northwest Columbus restaurant due to tax-related issues. However, Texas Roadhouse Inc., headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, clarified that the franchised restaurant was already underperforming and in the process of closing.
