French pastry shop to open in St. Petersburg soon
The development of the Central Avenue corridor in downtown St. Petersburg as a food lover’s paradise is continuing with the addition of Le Macaron, a French pastry shop chain based in Sarasota. This nationwide chain has various locations, spanning from Santa Monica, California, to Cambridge, Massachusetts, and they are now set to open a new establishment at 657 Central Avenue, previously occupied by The Juice Shack.
For residents of Sunshine City, Le Macaron might not be entirely unfamiliar. Over a decade ago, the company briefly operated a branch in downtown St. Pete, specifically at 203 1st Street NE. This spot is currently home to Elite Shoe Repair.
Le Macaron, established in 2009 by Rosalie Guillem and her daughter, Audrey Saba, has a presence in the greater Tampa Bay region. Besides Sarasota and Wesley Chapel, they already have a store at Tyrone Square mall in west St. Pete, and they are expanding further with upcoming locations in Clearwater and Tarpon Springs.
Their delectable offerings span a wide spectrum of flavors, including Belgian Chocolate, Sicilian Pistachio, Colombian Coffee, Bubble Gum, Mango Jam, Lavender White Chocolate, and Black Vanilla from Madagascar, among others. They also feature seasonal flavors such as Pumpkin, Gingerbread, 4th of July, Easter Special, and Mon Cheri.
In addition to their delightful macarons, Le Macaron franchises offer catering services. They can create a diverse range of macaron towers, gift boxes, party favors, and corporate gifts to cater to various special occasions. While an official opening date for Le Macaron’s downtown St. Pete location has yet to be disclosed, food enthusiasts can anticipate its arrival.
