Locals puzzled as UFO Dome seen in The Bay – But there is a simple explanation
It’s not every day that you see a UFO-like object floating along the bay. This happened yesterday when a local was walking in the area and happened to come across the bizarre object. Here, the dome was seemingly floating on the water while a number of lights flashed on its exterior.
This looked like something straight out of a sci-fi movie and if you saw this, you’d understandably be quite puzzled. It turns out that this isn’t actually a UFO but is still a part of San Francisco’s modern-day folklore.
The video was originally uploaded to Reddit where users compared it to a Dalek. The original videographer wrote: ‘Went for a nice sunset walk in the Crissy Field area last Saturday. Saw this really odd dome in the bay chugging along. Does anyone have insight into what this might be? I’m at a complete loss and the curiosity is killing me.’
It turns out that this unique vessel is known as a Bubbleboat, a remarkable conversion of a farm silo resting on aluminum pontoons adorned with 600 shimmering lights. It has been cruising around San Francisco, primarily in the vicinity of McCovey Cove, for the past decade. The Bubbleboat was initially conceived and constructed by an artist who has continuously utilized it in the bay since 2013. Because of this, various sightings of the object have been made over the past 10 years. Sadly, it’s not aliens, however it is certainly weird.
