Cobra Bar & Restaurant to open in Columbus next week
Located on South High Street, a new restaurant and bar is opening next week. This will be the new home to Cobra, which has been in the works for several months now.
This establishment, located in the Brewery District, is set to become a beloved late-night spot, offering delectable Asian-American cuisine created by experienced and respected chefs, complemented by expertly crafted cocktails served by some of the city’s finest bartenders. All of this is set within a chic, laid-back atmosphere, thoughtfully curated by a quartet of friends with extensive industry experience.
The inception of this highly-anticipated restaurant and bar has been a four-year journey. Initially introduced as a pop-up concept known as “All Due Respect” throughout Ohio, Cobra found a more permanent home in a collaborative space at Woodhouse Cafe before finally opening its dedicated venue, designed to serve the Columbus community, to the public on October 18th.
Cobra not only boasts a prime location but also an impressive menu and an array of craft cocktails. Their offerings span a wide range, including hand-pulled noodle dishes such as the innovative Cacio de Szechuan, a fusion of Italian comfort food with Taiwanese flavors. Additionally, they offer a tavern menu featuring items like the Shanghai Noon Burger, Crab Rangoon Dip, Chicken Patty Katsu Sandwich, Cobra Coney, Popcorn Chicken, and various salads. The menu even includes pickles and vegetables, as well as a section dedicated to the Yakitori Grill.
One of Cobra’s standout features is its commitment to late-night dining, serving a tempting menu until 1:45 am. Their beverage selection is equally diverse, encompassing cocktails, Taiwanese lagers, draft beers, a shot menu, and a carefully curated wine list featuring select natural wines.
Starting October 18th, Cobra will be open daily from 4 pm to 2 am, with the exception of Tuesdays. The establishment offers both indoor and outdoor seating, providing a spacious patio in addition to a full-service restaurant and bar located at 684 S. High St.
