The iconic White Castle building located at 3252 Lyndale Avenue South, which has served as a music nonprofit and an antique shop over the past five years, is set to undergo a transformation. On October 8, coinciding with Open Streets Lyndale, it will unveil a new identity as a hub for Schaefer’s streetwear apparel, Pee-Wee Herman collectibles, and memorabilia from local bands of yore.

This new store is the brainchild of a local artist and vintage collector who can be found on Instagram. Here, you will see a greater look into his tastes and interests that will be on offer at this store. As mentioned, although the main emphasis will be on clothing, it will also feature all sorts of old, quirky memorabilia and unusual hard-to-find items. With this said, its iconic White Castle location seems perfect for this type of shop.

Although the store currently lacks an official name, it will not retain the moniker White Castle or anything resembling it. Alongside its vintage merchandise offerings, the establishment will also facilitate buying and trading opportunities with community members.

The grand opening is scheduled for October 8, and a vintage market will grace the parking lot as part of Open Streets. While the specific operating hours are yet to be confirmed, the proprietor’s objective is to keep the store open six days a week.
