Truck drops thousands of recycling cans on the Bay Bridge

Yesterday afternoon, a truck dropped its entire load of recycling cans on the Bay Bridge. Here, literally thousands of cans were spread along vast parts of the road. Because of this, the bridge was temporarily closed while things got cleaned up. Clearly, this would not be good to drive along due to the sheer amount of cans that lay everywhere.

Originally posted on Reddit, one user commented that it took one hour to cross the bridge due to the delays it caused. One person even claimed their journey was an hour and a half which shows just how annoying it was.

This image prompted a discussion where one user lambasted badly organized recycle trucks. Here they wrote: “Ugh…I absolutely hate all these people with poorly secured, over-praised cargo in trucks. Last weekend I was coming back from Walnut Creek and some truck had garbage bags full of plastic shopping bags that were flying off his truck all over the road.”

As of right now, it is not understood the fate of the truck but it may have been fined due to causing a public nuisance and potential danger to other road users due to its negligence. Thankfully, this incident was dealt with quickly and the bridge returned to normal.
