New Ice Cream shop coming to Columbus next year

Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, which was originally founded in 1950 in Bexley, Ohio, is embarking on an exciting expansion into the Grandview area. Their newest location will be situated at 1325 Grandview Ave, conveniently situated across from the Grandview Cafe.

This longstanding, locally-owned business, now in its fourth generation, attributes its growth to the success of its wholesale division and the enduring popularity of its Bexley scoop shop. As a result, they have successfully opened additional locations in Dublin and New Albany. Their latest venture into Grandview has the team buzzing with excitement.

The Grandview establishment will proudly offer the same delightful selection of flavors available at their other scoop shops, including favorites like Butter Pecan, Mint Chip, and the beloved Columbus Crunch. In addition to these familiar offerings, they have plans to introduce exclusive Grandview-only flavors. Customers can also look forward to a tempting array of ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, sorbets, milkshakes, and dairy-free options.

Over the years, Johnson’s has earned positive reviews from the Columbus community, so this news of a new location is not really too surprising. However, as many business owners will attest, starting a second location is not always easy when splitting time between two different venues.

Construction is slated to kick off in November, with a target opening date set for early 2024. The anticipation for this new addition is palpable, and we can hardly contain our enthusiasm.
